Launch: BYD had earlier trademarked the name Seagull in India. The BYD Seagull EV is likely to be launched in 2024.

Price: BYD is likely to price it at around Rs 10 lakh.

Technical specifications: The Seagull could be offered with two battery pack options: a 30kWh unit with 305 km range and a 38 kWh unit that offers 405 km. The small one is paired with a 72PS unit whereas the bigger one gets a 100PS electric motor.

Features: The EV gets a touchscreen unit, a fully digital instrument cluster and wireless phone charger.

Rivals: The BYD Seagull will be a rival to the Citroen eC3, Tiago EV and MG Comet EV.
