➡️The Maruti Suzuki Swift has achieved a new sales milestone in India, reaching the 2.5 million or 25 lakh units mark.
➡️The compact hatch from the Indo-Japanese carmaker has been one of the best-selling cars in the country ever since its launch in 2005, and a crowd favourite among Indian car buyers.
➡️Earlier in January 2021, the company reported that Swift sales have reached the 2.3 million or 23 lakh units milestone, which means in the last 8 months, Maruti Suzuki sold 200,000 units of the hatchback.
➡️Kia India has officially announced that the Sonet subcompact SUV has achieved a sales milestone of 1 lakh units.
➡️Launched in September 2020, the SUV attracted a lot of attention because of its price tag and the features it had to offer. The SUV achieved this landmark in less than a year since its launch.
➡️BMW has launched the X5 xDrive SportX Plus variant in India with ex-showroom prices starting at ₹ 77.90 lakh for the xDrive 40i petrol variant while the xDrive30d diesel variant is priced at ₹ 79.50 lakh.
➡️Both variants are manufactured locally at BMW's Chennai plant and are sold in India as completely knocked down (CKD) units.
➡️The 3.0-litre, six-cylinder diesel engine in the BMW X5 xDrive 30d puts out 263 bhp and 620 Nm of peak torque at 1,500 - 2,500 rpm. The SUV does the 0-100 kmph sprint in 6.5 seconds.
➡️Then, the 3.0-litre, six-cylinder petrol engine of the BMW X5 xDrive40i belts out 337 bhp and maximum torque of 450 Nm at 1,500 - 5,200 rpm. The petrol SUV is even quicker to triple-digit speeds at 5.5 seconds.
