Introduction

• Kia India globally revealed the new Seltos on 10 December, 2025.
• The unveil in India confirmed three new exterior colours for the second-gen SUV.
• Apart from that, the Seltos gets many cosmetic enhancements and a few new features.
• There are no changes to the engine and gearbox options though.
• It continues to be offered in the existing variants line-up including HTE, HTK, HTX, GTX, and the range topping X Line.
• The Seltos' new rival is expected to be the new Tata Sierra, while it will continue to face competition from the Hyundai Creta, Maruti Victoris, Honda Elevate, MG Astor, Maruti Grand Vitara, Toyota Hyryder, Skoda Kushaq, and the Volkswagen Taigun.

Exterior

• Though we've been seeing camouflaged test mules of the Seltos SUV, we now have an idea what all will change.
• In fact, now with the latest official teaser out, a glimpse of the Seltos’ redesigned front end is available.
• This section boasts the latest iteration of the brand's ‘Tiger Nose’ grille.
• The latter now stretches across the entire front fascia.
• It even houses the new LED headlamps flanked by vertical LED DRLs.

• At the back, the new Seltos gets C-shaped LED taillights connected by an LED light bar.
• Interestingly, this design language is reminiscent of the lighting setup on other models in Kia's lineup.
• Moreover, a shark-fin antenna, flush-fitting door handles, redesigned ORVMs, and a rear roof spoiler are identical to other Kia models too.

Interior

• The new teaser divulges information about the design language and some features that will be the highlights of the SUV.
• This includes a panoramic sunroof and a welcome animation for the LED DRLs and the headlamps.
• The new Seltos will also get new seats for the front row with a dual-tone upholstery.

• Previous spy shots have also confirmed a new feature in the form of a charging port on the side of the front passenger seat.
• Moreover, it will get brushed aluminum door handles and contrasting orange inserts.

Powertrain

• The next-gen Kia Seltos is expected to get a petrol-hybrid powertrain, though details aren't available yet.
• But other existing options include the current 1.5-litre, four-cylinder, naturally aspirated petrol engine.
• Then, there's also an existing 1.5-litre turbo-petrol.
• The Kia Seltos also gets a diesel engine, which is likely to be carried over on the new model.
• Transmission options will include both manual and automatic.
