The 2026 Renault Duster was revealed for the Indian market on 26 January, 2026.
This SUV was globally launched in March 2025.
Ahead of its arrival in the Indian market, we already had an idea of how the production version would be.
And the one revealed is not very different.
In fact, it carries forward the global design elements with India-spec highlights.
Moreover, Renault has confirmed a hybrid powertrain for the Indian market later this year.
We can, however, expect all variant-wise pricing to be announced in March 2026.
Bookings are open now, deliveries will begin in April, except for the hybrid version that will come in Diwali.

Renault duster front

The design language, styling, proportions, and even features are same as the Dacia's global model currently on sale.
However, unlike the Dacia or even the global Renault Duster, the India-spec Duster sports a 'DUSTER' badge on the front grille.
Otherwise, styling elements, headlamps, cladding, silhouette, and tail lamps are identical.
Overall, the Duster's chunky look is toned down, but retains the solid and sturdy SUV character.
A distinctive design with an outdoorsy look is further accentuated by new skid plates, black applique, and skirting.

Renault Duster Exterior

Like the exterior, the interior of the 2026 Duster is like the Dacia, except for the steering wheel position for a RHD model.
The new Duster is a big departure from the earlier models in India, but the quality of materials and colour choices don't seem worlds apart.
That said, there's still new equipment with a large floating infotainment system.
The latter is a touchscreen but also tilted 10 degrees towards the driver for ergonomic convenience.
Then, the new-generation Duster also features a seven-inch customisable instrument cluster.
It even has a centre console that houses a wireless smartphone charger, easily accessible to both the front occupants.
Globally, Renault has brought in driver-assistance systems (ADAS) to this latest iteration of the Duster.
It's unsure if Renault India will also get in automatic braking and emergency stop signal.
But it would great to have these features including traffic sign recognition, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, and rear parking assist.
The crash safety scores for the Duster are not out yet, but Renault says it is engineered to score a full five-star in the crash tests.

Renault Duster Interior

As for the engine specifications, the international-spec model offers three engine options.
And to our surprise, Renault India will also offer all the three options for varied customers.
This includes a 1.0-litre three-cylinder turbo-petrol unit, producing 99bhp and 160Nm of torque, and comes mated to a five-speed manual gearbox.
Then, there's the 1.3-litre turbo-petrol-hybrid for accessible performance of 158bhp and 280Nm of torque.
This turbo-petrol will be offered with either a six-speed manual or a six-speed dual-clutch transmission (DCT).
Interestingly, Renault will offer their most powerful 1.8-litre GDI turbo-petrol with strong hybrid tech in the second half of 2026.
This e-Tech 160 engine series will be paired to a 1.4kWh battery pack and two electric motors.
Mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission, this hybrid Duster can be driven in pure EV mode as well, and will boost the driving range to 1000km easily.
