Introduction

• Simple Energy announced its new flagship called the Simple Ultra in January 2025.
• This announcement came along with the addition of its Gen 2 scooter range.
• However, the one that grabbed attention was the Simple Ultra for good reasons.
• One for being termed as the longest-range scooter with an IDC claim of 400km.
• It will be powered by a 6.5kWh battery, again the largest ever fitted on an electric scooter in India.
• Variant-wise, the Simple Ultra will sit at the top of the pyramid with One and OneS below it.

Features and Equipment of the Simple Ultra

• Simple Energy hasn't mentioned what other upgrades the Ultra will get over the One and the OneS.
• However, the brand claims it can do 0–40kmph in 2.77 seconds and reach 115kmph.
• It positions it as the 'second fastest' scooter in its stable.
• As a result, the focus will be on both - endurance for cautious riders and performance for enthusiasts.

Powertrain of the Simple Ultra

• Apart from a big 6.5kWh battery, Simple Energy hasn't divulged details of the Ultra's specifications.
• However, it is expected to get a lifetime warranty on motor and battery like the other EVs.
