Introduction

• Mahindra recently dropped a short teaser video of the new XUV 7XO.
• The XUV 7XO is basically the upcoming XUV 700 facelift.
• From next year, the popular SUV will be rechristened to XUV 7XO.
• It will get cosmetic changes, new features, and will make its debut on January 5, 2026.

Exterior

• While Mahindra hasn't officially unveiled the car yet, we have got a short glimpse.
• The teaser video reveals some cosmetic changes that have been made to the SUV.
• Even the new 'XUV 7XO' badge can be seen.
• Major changes to the XUV 7XO include a redesigned front fascia with new LED headlights, LED DRLs, and a tweaked grille.
• The XUV 7XO will also feature reworked taillamps with L-shaped LEDs.

Interior

• The cabin and the interior changes are still under wraps.
• However, we expect the top-spec XUV 7XO to boast a new dashboard with a triple-screen setup.
• The latter unit will be similar to the XEV 9e.
• And then, the XUV 7XO will get the latest version of the Harman/Kardon music system.
• Mahindra could have also refreshed the XUV 7XO's interior with a new colour scheme along with different door panels to look fresh.
• Otherwise, the existing bells and whistles including ADAS from the XUV 700 are expected to be carried over to the XUV 7XO.

Powertrain

• The upcoming Mahindra XUV 7XO is expected to continue with the existing powertrain options.
• Under the bonnet of the current XUV700 is either a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol or a 2.0-litre diesel unit.
• These come mated to either a six-speed manual or a six-speed automatic transmission.
